I resolve people problems for founders and leaders.

The co-founder who had a change of heart. The negotiation that went silent. The conversation you keep putting off. I'm Freddy Angelo, and I'm who you call when you need help facing these problems head on. When conflicts are stuck, I get hands-on and mediate the room. Five spots open in this round.

People problems, resolved

A negotiation that went silent, restarted in 24 hours. Two employees left a startup to start a competitor, and talks between the two sides had been silent for three weeks. The founders called me. Within hours I was on the phone with the other side, and they agreed to meet on one condition: that I facilitate. Within 24 hours all four were in one room, and I mediated for three hours, until 1am on a Thursday. It was the second time that team called me in.

A founder everyone had written off. For months he stopped replying, and people read it as indifference. It was the opposite: he rewrote every reply until he was too drained to send it. We set one rule: an 80% reply today beats a perfect one that never arrives. He cleared the inbox and repaired most of those relationships.

A co-founder conversation, finally started. A founder had been waiting for a potential co-founder to engage. Keeping every option abstract let him avoid the conversation. We got clear on what that pattern was costing him, and he initiated the conversations that led to the two of them running a startup together now.

Ten months through a restructure. My client spun his company's software out into a new startup, raised a round for it, handed the original business to a new CEO, and found a co-founder for the new business. Every step meant hard conversations with investors, the team and the people stepping in. I was his sparring partner through all of it. His public comment afterwards: "Couldn't have done it without your sparring."

What people say

"After working with Freddy I learned to identify some of the things I was doing wrong and was able to correct them. He offered a third person perspective on my words, actions and interactions I had not seen before and was effective at bringing to light some underlying issues that were negatively affecting me and my team's performance. He also helped guide me towards addressing them properly."

Tomas Erik Harmer, Co-founder & CEO. Client.

"He has been a steady anchor for me when I struggled to find my footing or needed a sparring partner. He also inspired me to remove the safety net and follow my professional dreams."

Lasse Starklit, Co-founder and CTO at Coobix. Childhood friend.

"Five years ago, Freddy spent an hour asking me why I cared more about making money than how I felt while doing so. I've since thought back to that conversation as the first step towards finding my own path. Anything I seriously need perspectives on, Freddy's my first call."

Mikkel Gottlieb, Head of Marketing at Blackbird Coffee. Former colleague.

Why it matters

A business is the sum of what its people put in, and a few people's input counts for far more than the rest. You are one of them.

When you carry an unresolved conflict, your input drops. You sleep worse, your meetings lose their edge, and your decisions come later and land worse. And it's the one thing you can't bring to your team, the board or your investors.

I spent seven years as a consultant and two as a startup CEO. Every business problem I met turned out to be a people problem underneath.

How I work

With me you can think out loud before anything is figured out. I have no stake in your company and no reason to tell you what you'd like to hear, so you get a clear outside view of how you're showing up and what it does to the people around you.

Seeing the problem is where most coaching ends. With me it's where the work starts, and I stay in it with you until the problem is actually dealt with.

  1. Two 90-minute sessions a month. Send a voice note the day before, and we start on what's taking up the most room in your head.
  2. Hands-on when it matters. A conversation you dread or a decision you can't undo: I prepare you. When a conflict is stuck, I get in the room and mediate as the neutral third party.
  3. Voice notes in between. Unlimited.

Price and guarantee

One monthly retainer covers everything: the sessions, the hands-on help and the voice notes. I'll give you the price on our first call.

If the first month isn't worth it to you, tell me and I'll refund it in full.

Five spots

I work alone, and this work only helps if I can show up fast when something blows up. Five clients is what I can give that kind of attention without anyone getting less of me, so I'm taking five new clients this round.
